Problem of Indiscipline Among Students

Discipline plays an important role in shaping a student's character and future. It teaches responsibility, respect, and self-control. However, indiscipline among students has become a growing problem in many schools today.

Indiscipline refers to the failure to follow rules and regulations. It can be seen in various forms such as disobeying teachers, disturbing classes, skipping school, bullying classmates, and damaging school property. Such behaviour not only affects the individual student but also creates problems for others.

There are several reasons behind this issue. Lack of parental guidance, excessive use of mobile phones and social media, bad company, and academic stress are some of the major causes. In many cases, students do not receive proper moral education, which leads them to make poor decisions.

The effects of indiscipline are serious. It disrupts the learning environment, lowers academic performance, and creates a negative atmosphere in schools. If left unchecked, it can affect a student's future and personal growth.

To overcome this problem, parents and teachers must work together. Schools should encourage moral values, counselling, and participation in sports and cultural activities. With proper guidance and self-discipline, students can become responsible citizens and contribute positively to society.
