THE ROAD NOT TAKEN BY ROBERT STANZA BY STANZA SUMMARY   Stanza 1 Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveller, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Summary: The poet was walking on a road when he reached a place where the road split into two different paths. He felt sad because he could not walk on both roads. He had to choose only one. He stood there for a long time, looking down each road as far as possible. He wanted to see where they led and understand both paths.
