MEGHALAYA STUDENTS MUST PASS ALL SIX SUBJECTS The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE) has announced that from the 2026–27 academic year, students must pass all six subjects to qualify in the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination. This change will not affect students appearing for the SSLC exams in the 2024–25 and 2025–26 academic years. It will also not apply to students who need to reappear for failed subjects in 2026–27 or later. The Board issued this notification in accordance with a letter from the Meghalaya Education Department (No. EDN.122/2024/12, dated 28 August 2024, Shillong), following Cabinet approval granted on 9 August 2024 for various examination reforms to be implemented from the 2024–25 academic year onward.
